SQC President awarded with Micius Quantum Prize

Nicolas Gisin, President of the Swiss Quantum Commission, from the Geneva University and the Constructor University has been awarded this year's Micius Quantum Prize for his important contributions in early quantum key distribution experiments using optical fiber.

The prize, which is endowed with 1 million Chinese yuan (about 120’000 CHF), honours scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of quantum communications, quantum simulation, quantum computation and quantum metrology. Together with Gisin, John Rarity from University of Bristol was awarded.
