The SPS Focus series covers topics of broad interest: Highlights from research such as quantum computing but also interrelationships of physics with other disciplines.

The first issue focuses on various aspects of nuclear energy: from new concepts for safe reactors to the potential of the chemical element thorium to electricity generation from nuclear fusion. Scientifically recognized experts write the respective texts.

The SPS Focus is intended to be of interest to people with a basic education in physics or a related field and will be published irregularly.
