Dear Colleagues,

After careful consideration and comprehensive evaluation of currently available information related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Organizing Committee of the Paleopathology Association European Meeting has made the difficult decision to reschedule the meeting originally planned for August 20-24, 2020 in Vilnius, Lithuania to essentially one year later, preliminary dates August 26-30, 2021.

We aim to maintain the original program. We will continue to accept new abstract submissions, should you have missed the deadline. If you wish to update the material of your submitted abstract or present a new research topic, you can do it by sending the updated version to the Conference Secretariat by email. Participants who have already paid the fee can maintain the registration as it will be valid for PPA 2021. If you wish to retract your proposal – let us know. New deadlines for abstract submission and registration will be available in due time.

Our heartfelt thoughts and sympathies go out to everyone impacted by this global health crisis.

In the meantime, we welcome your questions and queries and we thank you very much for your understanding and patience. We look forward to seeing all of you in Vilnius in 2021!

Kind regards,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee
Prof. Rimantas Jankauskas
