General Assembly

The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme body of SCNAT. It decides on the strategic direction of the Academy. It elects the President of SCNAT and the Executive Board and decides on the admission of new member organisations. The GA is composed of the presidents of the SCNAT member organisations.

Executive Board

The Executive Board is the executive body of SCNAT and represents it in public. It approves the annual accounts for the attention of the General Assembly, gives assignments to the platforms and elects the Secretary General and the Presidiums of the platforms.

Extended Board

The Extended Board approves the multi-year plan and its budget framework for the attention of the General Assembly. It issues the rules of procedure for the Executive Board, the Extended Executive Board, the platforms and the Secretariat. The Extended Board is composed of the members of the Executive Board and the presidents of the platforms.

The central tasks of the Extended Board are to bundle the strategic management of SCNAT and the platforms into an overall plan, which results in multi-year and annual plans. This also includes the approval of the corresponding budgets. The Extended Board is also responsible for the representation of SCNAT in international bodies
