Biology Week 2024: Molecular biology and neurosciences

The courses this year will be include:

• Molecular biology of stress
• Control of brain development
• Memory
• Molecular control of neural stem cells and neural development
• Synaptic transmission and neuronal excitability

Place: Zurich, accomodation at the youth hostel

Date: 5-9 August 2024

Who can participate: High school students who will pass their high school diploma (maturity) in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

Language: The courses will be held in English. A good understanding of English is necessary, but it is not necessary to be fluent.

Responsibility: There will be no supervision outside of class hours. The students will travel to/from the University of Zurich to/from the youth hostel by themselves. Participants under the age of 18 are under the responsibility of their legal representatives.

Selection of participants: Only complete applications received by the deadline will be accepted. Applicants showing a high motivation will be given priority. If applications exceed the number of places, we will use a blind selection among all highly motivated students. Please note that students who have already taken part in a Biology Week will be selected only if enough places are available
