Bayer Lauched as part of the group wide climate program the international Bayer Climate Award for achievements in the interdisciplinary field of climate and climate change research. The prize sum of € 50'000 will be presented at two-year intervals to outstanding scientists for basic research capable to explain and limit climate change or manage its consequences. The award is focused on pioneering research in the following disciplines:

  • Energy and Environmental Sciences
  • Material Sciences and Process Engineering
  • Polar, Sea and Coastal Research, Oceanography
  • Physical/Chemical Atmosphere Research, Meteorology
  • Geochemististry and Geophysics
  • Biotechnology, Agricultural Sciences and Microbiology
