Development policy

Switzerland's international cooperation needs sufficient funds for a long-term and effective development cooperation. The redistribution of the IC budget in favour of increasing Switzerland's military expenditures as demanded by the Council of States on 3 June and the costs for the reconstruction of Ukraine threaten to abruptly cut Switzerland's international cooperation budget and significantly weaken its development cooperation.
