The Swiss Society for Optics and Microscopy (SSOM) recently held its general assembly at the iconic Verkehrshaus in Lucerne, bringing together abour 50 members from across Switzerland. The event highlighted the society’s ongoing commitment to advancing the fields of optics and microscopy through collaboration and knowledge exchange. Attendees participated in two scientific presentations, discussed the structure of the society and explored new opportunities for cooperation. The assembly also provided a platform for members to shape the society’s future direction and to network with peers, reinforcing SSOM’s role as a leading force in Switzerland’s scientific community.

After the meeting, the members enjoyed a visit to the planetarium for a ride through the universe.
