What if Artificial Intelligence is “broken” — not technically, but ethically? This talk introduces the concept of Sustainable AI and argues that both “AI for sustainability” and the sustainability of AI itself must be rethought to center environmental impacts and the pressing questions of global environmental justice embedded in AI development.
