First feedback on Call for Ideas for Quantum Infrastructures

Twenty specific ideas from fourteen submissions have been received, with proposals for extended or new quantum infrastructures in a broad range of topics.

We are pleased that this Call for Ideas has already received a broad response from the research, innovation and industry communities. The scope of the ideas ranges from facilities and services with more foundational character (e.g. relating to materials characterization) up to industry-grade setups and applications (e.g. relating to quantum communication networks and quantum computing programs). The indicative investment volume is in the 3-digit million CHF range.

The SQC is looking forward to the way ahead including an in-depth review of the submitted papers and following expert discussions. We have announced a soft deadline for this call - later ideas are also welcome - though might be processed in a second phase.
