Save the Date April 9, 2025: Swiss Global Change Day

The Swiss Global Change Day, organised by ProClim, is a unique event that highlights the latest advances in climate and global change research. We are especially delighted to announce our first keynote speaker, Stefan Rahmstorf, one of the world’s leading climate researchers.

Professor Rahmstorf heads the Department of Earth System Analysis at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and is Professor of Ocean Physics at the University of Potsdam.

«One of the most ominous risks for Europe is that of a major change in Atlantic Ocean currents. Recent science suggests it has been greatly underestimated in the past - including by me, having worked on it for over 30 years. What could lie ahead for us?»

-Stefan Rahmstorf

Besides his keynote and presentations of various other renowned climate experts, participants at the 25th Swiss Global Change Day will also have the opportunity to present their work through posters or stands and engage with peers and experts in the field. Mark your calendars for 9 April 2025. More information will follow next year. We are already looking forward to seeing you there.
