1. Update from the GA

The GA of 2025 was successfully held 9-10 October 2025 in Locarno.

Many thanks to the IRSOL team for hosting the GA.

Thanks also to everybody who attended the GA for their participation and the presenters for their great talks during the science session.

2. New Treasurer

Daniel Kitzmann from CSH, Uni Bern was elected as new Treasurer for our society.

Congratulations Daniel and welcome to the committee.

Marc Audard was furthermore re-elected at the GA as Vice-President.

3. Submission deadlines for recurrent SSAA Awards

  • Deadline for MERAC Awards: March 31 and September 30, 2026
  • Deadline for Travel Awards: March 31, 2026
  • Deadline for Outreach Awards: March 31, 2026
  • Deadline for Edith Alice Müller Award: June 15, 2026
