Genesis 2.0, by award-winning Swiss director Christian Frei, follows the story of mammoth tusk hunters in
the remote islands of Siberia. It further goes on to explore how some of this material could be used to bring
the mammoth back from extinction. The film raises questions about human nature and where humanity is
heading with new biotechnological methods.

What role does research play in our society? What are the goals of life science research? What are the
technical and ethical limits? After the film screening, young researchers will address these questions,
together with the director and the audience.
