The World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) is organizing a conference entiteld "The WCRP: Achievements, Benefits and Challenges" in Geneva from 26 to 28 August 1997. Well known scientists from around the world will present the main results of the WCRP during the past 17 years of its existence and discuss the future direction with policy-makers, fundig agencies and key scientists.
